Describe Your Technique
The photo was taken during the summer (2010) at Le Plein Soleil where I met a friend whom I hadn't seen in several months due to her travels. It is one of my favorite neighborhood cafés because as much as it is animated and busy, I know I can sit and read for hours and no one will bother me. I love passing by in the morning when early risers get comfortable spots on the terrace with their newspaper or laptops to start their day. My friend and I were able to chat for hours at just the right distance from everyone else. We had the privacy we needed to catch up and the proximity to others to feel connected.
Tips and Tricks
- * No tricks! Just used manual settings and focused on the people, including those visible in the reflection of the glass roof.
