Description of Your Photo (Please use full sentences)
A winter day in Montmartre, a Sunday, but the sun briefly came out and families and children were enjoying the weather and tourists crowded the steps of Sacre Coeur. I waited until barely anyone was in my photo so I could capture the essence of the remarkable area, before we made our descent into Place Pigalle.
When Was the Photo Taken?
January 2009 in Paris. Despite the cold temperatures, there are still hundreds of photo opportunities in the City of Lights. If you look up there are wonderful building facades to photograph. Every street has a marvelous door. Outside flower shops display their colorful wares, a sure sign of spring despite the grayness of the days. A respite at a cafe for "chocolat chaud" can provide even more snap-happy moments, just the chantilly cream floating on top of a bowl of brown gold is worth a photograph!
