While the Paris Meseum Pass is a great help with museums with the city, DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE BOOK SAYS ABOUT CHÂTEAX DE VERSAILLES! You CANNOT bypass the very, very long line at the entrance. This was possible in the past, but no longer so. I am standing in the line as I write this after scouring websites and maps trying to figure out some alternative. There is no huge white tent, nor is there a C entrance. We are very close to giving up on this outing and going back to Paris. Thanks for the misleading information, PMP.
Summary: stay in the city. If you want to go to Versailles, pay for a tour group.
