Every summer in tandem with
Paris Plage, the ephemeral operation that sees banks of the Seine and the Canal de l'Ourq transformed into beachside "resorts", the city of Paris and music store FNAC puts on a series of free concerts. This year, to the disappointment of some, the program has been whittled down to only four evenings, but it's still a great occasion to soak up some live music -- all for free.
In 2011, the FNACLive Festival takes place on the Parvis de l'Hotel de Ville just outside Paris City Hall (Metro: Hotel de Ville) on July 21, 23 and 24 July from 6:30 pm to 11 pm and on July 22 from 7:30 pm to midnight. Headlining acts this year include Moriarty and Catherine Ringer, a cult star in France who gained fame for being half of quirky pop-rock duo Les Rita Mitsouko.
Below is the 2011 program.
