Many people fret at the thought that attempting a trip to Paris on a tight budget will cramp all their style (not to mention the city's) and make for a miserable experience. How can one with limited funds enjoy a city which practically invented the world luxury industry, and debuts new palace hotels at a pace that puts Dubai to shame?
I've said it before, and I can't help but point it out again: high hotel rates notwithstanding, Paris may be one of the most budget-friendly cities in the world-- at least from a quality/price ratio standpoint. From free museums (including the Petit Palais, pictured) to a constant flow of free or nominally priced annual events and festivals, Paris offers plenty to do for the budget-conscious, beneath its elitist veneer.
