Paris Photo, the city's annual rendez-vous of choice for professional photographers, buyers, and admirers of the medium, runs from November 15th to 18th at the Grand Palais. If you have a weakness for photography, be sure to check out this year's show, which brings together some 150 galleries and publishers and around 1,500 established and promising new artists, for an absorbing and exciting look at contemporary photography from around the globe.
This year, as if he hadn't gotten enough local attention lately with the recent opening of his ultra-exclusive Silencio club in Paris, film director and master of the bizarre David Lynch is the designated "eye" of honor, and his selections of and commentaries on photos from several lenses will be a major focus at the show. Look out, too, for the SFR Young Talent showcase, highlighting the work of four up-and-coming young photographers.
