If you'll be Paris close to Halloween and are despairing at finding something to do to celebrate in a city that's not known to revel in the holiday, why not consider a trip to the Paris Catacombs? Stretching some 1.4 miles and housing the bones of six million people exhumed from an overcrowded Parisian cemetery in the late eighteenth century, the catacombs tend to inspire disbelief on a first visit. While they're not advised for very young children, it may prove an interesting excursion for families looking for some way to celebrate Halloween in an original way.
