I didn't plan it this way, but It seems to be Claude Monet month here at About.com Paris Travel-- (check out my recent coverage of the sublime Marmottan Monet museum here). To continue in the same vein (and it is, after all, a worthwhile focus), I've put together a guide to the impressionist painter's house and gardens at Giverny. This is one of the day trips from Paris I recommend most, especially for those of you interested in the arts, gardening, horticulture, or all of the above.

Marmottan Monet museum is a gem! When we didn’t have time to take on the Louvre, this house museum was perfect.
It is a great museum which too often gets overlooked because it’s in such a quiet and fairly remote part of the city. Glad you enjoyed it!
