Urban perspectives at Galerie RX
If you're looking for an off-the-beaten-track encounter with contemporary art and want to explore some of the city's more intimate galleries, two exhibits in particular currently running at the Galerie RX in Paris' 8th district are worth checking out, especially if you find city landscapes as fascinating as I do.
- Through December 6, contemporary painter David Mesguich is showing a series of black watercolor prints entitled "Absences", which explore urban "non-places": disinherited industrial sites or prisons. With photographic lucidity, the prints explore places too easily forgotten in city landscapes.
- Also through December 6, photographer Anna Malagrida is showcasing a photo essay based on travels in Ammam, Jordan-- all taken from the windows of luxury hotels, creating a sense of distance and contemplation.

Help! You list musee galliera and Musee de la vie Romantique as Free Museums but their websites list an admission fee. Are they free or not? Thanks
Hi Gigi,
The permanent exhibits at these museums are free, but not the temporary ones. Hope that helps.
