Visiting Paris in September?
If so, you're in luck, by my book. Often opted for as a less-expensive alternative to an April or August trip, September in Paris is much more pleasant than reputed. This is a surprisingly lively, colorful period around town: clear skies and clean, crisp air are more common now than in summer, and with the back-to-work-and-school spirit working its magic, the city seems to come out of a sleepy, albeit pleasant, rest period. Fans of theater, art, film, and even politics will appreciate the vibrant rush for the new, while long strolls around the city are rarely more pleasant than in September.
