The Eiffel Tower Goes European

To celebrate France's new six-month stint at the head of the European Union, Paris' most iconic landmark has been dressed up in Euro-inspired fanfare. The Eiffel Tower will be lit up to look like the European flag for the next two months, illuminating the summer skies with an intense blue light. This should make dining at the tower's two restaurants particularly memorable, so try if you dare to book a table!

The lit tower is breathtakingly beautiful at night. I just returned from a visit to Paris a few days ago. Too bad there are so many aggressive souvenir hucksters all around the Eiffel tower and other Paris monuments.
