Tramway Inauguration Day

Crowds braved a cold drizzle this Saturday to witness the inauguration of a new Paris tramway line. The T-3 tramway line snakes for 5 miles around the southern edge of Paris, parallel to the city's circular freeway. Not only is the tramway expected to reduce pollution in the areas where it runs, but it provides yet another inexpensive and efficient way for Paris residents and visitors to get around.
